VNIRTM 6-CFDA (single isomer) is a fluorescein-based membrane permeable, non-fluorescent precursor for Carboxyfluorescein. CFDA staining can be used for cell monitoring by flowcytometry or fluorescence microscopy. This precursor is also used for measuring intracellular pH. This hydrophobic dye is hydrolysed enzymatically to a hydrophilic, strongly fluorescent carboxyfluorescein. This dye is known to have high retention capability inside the cell.
